Technology design of labyrinth packing lining production
Katolický, Jiří ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
The diploma work is focused to evaluation of contemporary state of sealing system solution of high speed turbine engines in the world and, newly suggesting nontraditional design of labyrinth sealing lining for turbine side of small turbojet engine, including the production technology, technical-economic classification and experimental verification.
Production of threads with taps
Juránek, Martin ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of production threads with taps. The introduction of th work briefly describes the use of thread in machine-building, thread geometry and basic types of threads. The work goes on to describe the methods tapping and thread control function. The work also deals with the description of types of taps, tool materials and the description of the three most used types of coating in taps. The experimental part adresses the question of whether the thicker layerof the TiN coat leads to an extension of the tool life. Two types of taps were used in the experiment. One type of taps had a coating thickness of 3-4 m and the other had coating thickness of 5-6 m. The experiment included measuring of time-dependent torque. The measured data were processed and subsequently evaluated whether the thicker coating layer resulted in reduced tool wear and increased tool life.
Cutting tools for deep drilling and their use in practice
Sedlář, Jiří ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with tools for drilling deep holes. The first part is focused on the basic description of the drilling process, sorting the tools according to their construction and last but not least, sorting of the systems used for deep drilling. In the theses is further elaborated an overview of materials for the production of cutting tools and ways of coating, which are used the most nowadays. There is a constant development in coating, because of the better mechanical, physical and chemical properties in this field. The last part is dedicated to the definition of the tools for deep drilling and their use in practice.
COAT
Svobodová, Hana ; Pangrácová, Lucie (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
Although the main topic of my diploma thesis is Kabát, I describe in the introductory chapters of my previous work, because their creation and gradual emergence have been directed towards the final project - Kabát. As part of my sculpture, I concentrate mainly on the possibilities of transforming the human figure, using various classical and non-traditional sculptural materials. The fabric of a selected piece of clothing (in the case of a coat) is reinforced at a certain point in time, which I transposed into the feathered cavity - the coat that you put before you. His work with the "outer envelope of man" in the final passage of the text corresponds to the work of Czech and foreign artists.
Proteomic differentiation of hairs of different dog breeds
Humpoláková, Karin ; Kučková, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Kolář, Karel (referee)
The goal of my thesis was to find out whether it is possible to distinguish among individual dog breeds from the protein analysis of their fur. This knowledge could be used, for example, in forensic science. In this work, there was also a comparison of the similarity of dog breeds with a wolf, which was domesticated and is considered as an ancestor of the dog. For this study, the hair of three representatives of sixteen dog breeds was collected. To analyse these samples enzyme cleavage was used a trypsin, and mass spectra were obtained by MALDI- TOF MS (Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization - Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry) and LC/MS-MS (Liquid Chromatography with Tandem Mass Spectrometry) methods. The obtained data were evaluated by the PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and LDA (Linear Discriminant Analysis) method. It was found, that individual dog breeds cannot be distinguished using both methods. KEYWORDS proteomics, coat, dog, breeds, mass spectrometry

"Gentlemen, please, take of your hats": Methods of dating and interpretation of photographies from years 1850–1918 through historical mens fashion
Polách, Radek
„GENTLEMEN, PLEASE, TAKE OFF YOUR HATS“ – Methods of dating and interpretation of photographies from years 1850-1918 through historical mens fashion is compacted material for professional description of historical photographic material from noblemens collection funds based on basic knowledge of mens and partially child fashion, and related clothing accessories. In its entirety it brings a large amount of knowledge from history of the then mens fashion, which was after the downfall of the Austro-Hungarian empire overlooked or presented only in narrowly specialized sections, e.g. in the military section. A large part of this publication is based not only on the knowledge of description of mens clothing, but mainly of headwear. It is this clothing accessory that is pivotal to the observed era, and with a closer look, it can help accurately date and describe people captured on historical photographs. It is primarily meant for the specialized staff of memory institutions of Czech Republic, who deal with these given issues. At the same though, it can allow curators and owners of historical funds a way to describe collections of exhibits that are kept in their collection funds.
